Our story began in the unlikeliest of places — the chaos of Hurricane Katrina. We met while volunteering to help rescue and house families who had lost everything. In the middle of heartbreak and rebuilding, we found something unexpected: each other. That experience shaped our values of compassion, hard work, and community — the same values that guide us today at Anamchara Stables.

When we purchased Anamchara on November 15th, 2024 it quickly became a dream we didn’t even know we had. It has now become the center of our lives, and our primary focus for the future of our family. We have always admired horses, but what we’ve built here has become so much more — a family.

Every improvement we make, every horse we care for, and every smile in the barn reminds us why we’re here: to create the best barn family in Oregon. Anamchara, meaning “soul friend,” captures everything we believe in — connection, trust, and belonging.

This barn isn’t just a business to us — it’s our home, our heart, and our legacy. We hope that the legacy we inherited and nurture will carry forward to our sons, so they too can carry the love and sense of community that started long ago with two volunteers and a shared dream.
